Ozubulu shootings: Minister applauds NAUTH for quick intervention

The Minister of Health, Isaac Adewole, has applauded the management and staff of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH) Nnewi, for their quick response to the recent killings in a Catholic Church at Ozubulu area of Anambra state.
The minister who gave the commendation while commissioning a N50 million ultramodern pediatrics complex at NAUTH, said the prompt response of the health facility reduced drastically the level of causalities recorded.
The bed spaces of the pediatrics complex were recently increased from 50 to 54 with 12 well- furnished offices for consultants.
Adewole, however, reassured that the health ministry would expedite action on the commissioning of the hospital’s permanent site and that he is passionately committed to completing the project before the end of 2018.
Speaking earlier, the CMD of NAUTH, Prof Anthony Igwegbe disclosed that the pediatrics complex was built through the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the hospital.
