Kebbi partners with USAID to push out diarrhoea

The Kebbi State gov­ernment, in col­laboration with Sus­taining Health Outcomes in the Private Sector Plus (SHOPS PLUS) and the United States Agency for International Develop­ment (USAID) has trained 17 private personnel on “Push Diarrhoea Away” from the state.

In her speech at the launch of the programme in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital, the Head of SHOPS PLUS Team and the Chief of Party, Mrs Ayodele Iroko, said that seven lo­cal government areas and villages have been visited to create awareness among the people.

She said that 2,520 jin­gles on radio and television have been produced on the creative awareness while over 1,000 children who were affected have been treated accordingly.

The launching of the programme which was in collaboration with the state government was aimed at preventing Diarrhoea among children and adults across the state.
