His Highness, Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has led an 8-man committee to China for talks on cultural, economic integration and investment opportunities.
The 8-man delegation comprised of members of the Emirate Council and senior government officials.
They were hosted to a dinner by the Guangzhou People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries in Gounzhou.
The Emir in his remarks thanked the association for the invitation and the hospitality extended to him and members of his entourage.
He emphasized that he was in China, not only for cultural and friendly cooperation but also interested in investments to Kano in particular and Nigeria as a whole.
He said the two countries stand to reap a lot of benefits if they engage in economic cooperation and Investments.
Those on the delegation are the Wamban Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero: the Danburam, Alhaji Munnir Sanusi: the Dan Maje, Alhaji Yahaya Inuwa Abbas: the Dan Maliki, Amb. Ahmed Umar and the Sarkin Shanu, Alhaji Shehu Mohammed Dankadai.
The rest are the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Commerce, Industry, Cooperatives and Tourism, Baba Halilu Dantiye and the Managing Director of Kano State Investment and Property Ltd. Dr. Jibrilla Mohammed.
