Emir of Kano holds cultural, investment talks with Chinese authorities

His Highness, Emir of Kano, Muhamma­du Sanusi II, has led an 8-man committee to Chi­na for talks on cultural, eco­nomic integration and invest­ment opportunities.
The 8-man delegation com­prised of members of the Emirate Council and senior government officials.
They were hosted to a din­ner by the Guangzhou Peo­ple’s Association for Friend­ship with Foreign Countries in Gounzhou.
The Emir in his remarks thanked the association for the invitation and the hos­pitality extended to him and members of his entourage.
He emphasized that he was in China, not only for cultural and friendly cooperation but also interested in investments to Kano in particular and Ni­geria as a whole.
He said the two countries stand to reap a lot of benefits if they engage in economic co­operation and Investments.
Those on the delegation are the Wamban Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero: the Dan­buram, Alhaji Munnir Sanusi: the Dan Maje, Alhaji Yahaya Inuwa Abbas: the Dan Maliki, Amb. Ahmed Umar and the Sarkin Shanu, Alhaji Shehu Mohammed Dankadai.
The rest are the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Com­merce, Industry, Coopera­tives and Tourism, Baba Hali­lu Dantiye and the Managing Director of Kano State Invest­ment and Property Ltd. Dr. Ji­brilla Mohammed.
