Aso Villa Chapel celebrates Osinbajo's wife at 50

Worshippers at the Aso Villa Chapel Abuja, on Sunday, celebrated with the Wife of the Acting President, Pastor (Mrs) Dolapo Osinbajo, on her 50th birthday anniversary a day earlier.

The Chaplain of the Chapel, Pastor Seyi Malomo, had high praises for Mrs Osinbajo and presented her a gift of a Bible, which he described as the biggest Bible he has ever seen in the world. It has five translations.

In her remarks, a prominent worshipper at the chapel and immediate-past Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC), Deaconess Juan Ayo, said Mrs Osinbajo was not only a Godly and virtuous woman but a ‘mentor of Nigerian womanhood’ as well as a beautiful and supportive wife.

“The paradox of what we are presenting today is an enbodiment of the lady we are presenting this gift to. Even at 50, she still wears innocence of an infant. She is a Godly woman, a virtuous wife, a beautiful woman and a supportive wife. She is the mentor of Nigerian womanhood”, she said.

In his sermon, the General Superintendent of New Covenant Gospel Church and President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Rev. Felix Omobude, said it was significant that the Bible linked the rebirth of a nation to a woman in labour.

Reading from Isiah 66:8-10, the cleric urged Nigerians to have hope in God that in spite of the difficult challenges facing the country, Nigeria will be great again.

Since Nigeria is God’s project, “Our God never gives up on his project. There is no room for the self-defeated in this world and we must know that challenges are part of life.
